Furniture Families Revit Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, model, and manage Revit furniture families with accurate geometry, metadata, materials, and parameters.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and product engineers to convert design concepts into Revit-based furniture families.
- Maintain a Revit family library with proper naming conventions, version control, and documentation.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Revit content performance, visibility, and compatibility.
- Conduct QA/QC checks on families for compliance with project standards and client requirements.
- Contribute to the development of Revit standards, templates, and workflows related to furniture design.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in architecture, Applied Art, Interior Design, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 1 to 4 years of hands-on experience with Autodesk Revit, specifically in creating and managing furniture families.
- Strong understanding of Revit parametric modeling, shared parameters, nested families, and material assignments.
- Knowledge of manufacturing constraints and furniture joinery is a plus.
- Familiarity with BIM execution plans (BEP) and industry standards (e.g., AIA, ISO 19650).
- Excellent attention to detail and a problem-solving mindset.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with additional tools such as AutoCAD, Rhino, Dynamo, or Enscape.
- Familiarity with rendering and visualization workflows for furniture components.
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary team or with modular/off-site construction.
